Garden, lawn and plant health care for Australian conditions

Editorial standards

These rules sit above any traffic target. A guide that is wrong about buffalo-safe herbicides is worse than no guide.

Evidence and climate

Claims about pests, diseases, watering and fertiliser must match Australian conditions. We name climate bands, soil types and seasons. We do not launder a northern-hemisphere calendar by swapping July for January and calling it local.

Products and actives

When a treatment is discussed we prefer the active constituent and the label class over a single brand. We note when a product is unsafe on buffalo, edible crops, or near ponds. Readers still follow the label in their hand.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected in the article and, if the change is material, noted with the updated date. Send corrections through contact.

Sponsored and guest-post links

Paid placements, affiliate links and guest-post outbound links use rel="sponsored". That is how we follow Google's crawlable-link and paid-link guidance. A guest writer who hides a paid link will have the piece taken down. Pitch through write for us.

Independence

The desk is not a retail lawn service and does not take inventory from a single nursery. Authors disclose if they have a commercial interest in a tool or plant variety they recommend.
